Lorazepam is not approved for use by children younger than 18 years of age.
Lorazepam have developed leukopenia, and some have had elevations of LDH. Keep out of the reach of children in a container that small children cannot open. Symptoms of a lorazepam overdose include sleepiness, dizziness, confusion, a slow heart beat, difficulty breathing, difficulty walking and talking, an appearance of being drunk, and unconsciousness. If you take several doses per day and miss a dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Store the lorazepam oral concentrate in the refrigerator between 36 and 46 degrees Fahrenheit 2 and 8 degrees Celsius, protected from light.
Lorazepam in children of less than 12 years have not been established. Your doctor may prescribe a lower dose of this medication. Do not give Ativan Lorazepam to anyone under 12 and only in small doses if over 60. Do not stop taking this drug abruptly; this could cause psychological and physical withdrawal symptoms. Lorazepam is not approved for use by children younger than 18 years of age. Long-term or excessive use of this medication can cause dependency.
Alcohol may increase drowsiness and dizziness caused by lorazepam. If over an hour skip and then continue on your normal schedule. Alcohol may also increase the risk of having a seizure if lorazepam is being taken for a seizure condition. Blood samples for the determination of drug levels are also obtained. Store lorazepam at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur.
